Modern Habitat Journal

Welcome Message from the Founder, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief

Dear Researchers, Scholars, Professionals, and Members of the Scientific Community,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Modern Habitat Journal.

We are living in an era in which environmental challenges have become increasingly complex, interconnected, and global in scope. Climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental degradation, resource scarcity, urban expansion, technological transformation, and the growing demand for sustainable development have created unprecedented challenges for humanity. Addressing these challenges requires not only scientific excellence but also interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative thinking, and a commitment to evidence-based solutions.

Modern Habitat Journal was established in response to this need.

The journal was founded with a clear vision: to create an independent, rigorous, and internationally oriented scientific platform dedicated to advancing environmental knowledge, promoting sustainability, supporting innovation, and encouraging constructive dialogue among researchers from diverse disciplines and geographical regions.

Our mission extends beyond the publication of scientific papers. We seek to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, encourage interdisciplinary research, strengthen scientific communication, and contribute to the development of practical solutions for environmental and sustainability-related challenges. We believe that meaningful scientific progress emerges when research findings are shared openly, evaluated critically, and applied responsibly for the benefit of society and the environment.

Modern Habitat Journal welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including environmental science, sustainability studies, climate research, environmental planning, ecological restoration, environmental economics, geographic information systems, environmental engineering, environmental data science, green technologies, environmental governance, and related interdisciplinary fields.

As Editor-in-Chief, I firmly believe that scientific publishing should be guided by the principles of academic integrity, transparency, fairness, methodological rigor, and respect for intellectual contributions. For this reason, every manuscript submitted to the journal is evaluated according to its scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, and potential contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

We are committed to maintaining a professional editorial process that supports authors, respects reviewers, and upholds the highest standards of publication ethics. Constructive peer review, objective evaluation, and scholarly excellence remain at the core of our editorial philosophy.

At Modern Habitat Journal, we recognize that impactful research is not measured solely by citations or publication metrics. Its true value lies in its capacity to improve understanding, inspire innovation, inform decision-making, and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future. We therefore encourage submissions that combine scientific rigor with practical relevance and societal significance.

Whether you are an established researcher, an emerging scholar, a practitioner, or a policy expert, we invite you to become part of our growing international scientific community. Through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and responsible research, we can collectively contribute to addressing some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time.

On behalf of the Editorial Board, reviewers, and contributors of Modern Habitat Journal, I thank you for your interest in our journal and for your commitment to advancing scientific knowledge.

We look forward to receiving your valuable contributions and to building together a trusted platform for high-quality environmental and sustainability research.

With best regards,

Nazila SepehrKiya
